What comes with a rash and blisters?

My friend when to her mother in laws this past weekend and when she came home she had a blister on her leg, which has now grown bigger. We at first thought it was a spider bite, but then she started getting blisters on her arms and hands. What could it be?? Ps. We live in Iowa.
