Can spouse buy house before divorce is final?

Me and my husband are getting a divorce. We had built a brand new home when he decided to have an affair. He threw me and the children out to move in the girlfriend. In the meantime, he chose not to make any house payment. Bank is foreclosing on house now. He is buying a house on contract from a fellow employee. Can he do that? If so, is part of the value of the home mine since we are still married? This is in Iowa. Any help greatly appreciated.
