Which major should I study?

I will be applying for universities soon. I have the University of Illinois (Fighting Illini), Purdue University (Boilermakers), San Diego State University (Aztecs), University of Central Florida (Knights), Florida State University (Seminoles), University of Iowa (Hawlkeyes), Virginia Commonwealth University (Rams), and University of Chicago (Maroons) all in mind as possible choices. I am debating on whether I should major in Film/Cinema Studies and minor in History or major in Secondary Education: Social Studies and minor in Film/Cinema Studies. All the schools above have both programs. So any suggestions on which subject i should major and minor in?
