Question about Mexico currency? 10 pts.?

Hey, I'm from Canada so I use the CN dollar. I'm going to Mexico in about two weeks, and I was wondering how much money I should bring. I'm thinking about 250$ U.S, but I have no idea how many pesos I should bring. I am going for two weeks, however, I am not staying on a resort. I will be visiting markets and tourist destinations, including resturants. How much money should I bring, U.S and in Pesos. I'm also going to buy souvenirs, so... I don't need to pay for everything down there, only food and intermission and stuff!
